Tricky was sent to the hospital for tricky had fallen ill. Mrs Pumphrey calls up the doctor and tells him that Tricky doesn’t eat and has bouts of vomiting and he only lies down on the rug panting all the time. The doctor advises her to get Tricky hospitalized for a fortnight and that Tricky should be kept into observation.

Mrs. Pumpherty had a bad reaction to see that Tricky was showing little enthusiasm for exertion for he needed it considering his condition was growing bad.

Thricky is the dog who fell ill and had no energy.  Mrs Pumphrey was the owner of the dog and she used to love the dog like anything. She showed her excitement when the dof showed a little energy. For trickey's health  Mrs Pumphrey used to send eggs, wine and more to the doctor. In this story the love and affection of the master to her pet is described beautifully.
