The Wounded Kneee, South Dakota is an important place for the American Indians because it was the place where the Wounded Massacre took place.

The conflict that took place at the Wounded Knee was originally called as a battle but in originality it was just a really tragic massacre.

This massacre put an end to the Ghost dance movement which was performed by the Indians in order to reject many of the ways of the white men.
