Hey.
Here is the answer.
Evaporation is the process of a substance in a liquid state changing to a gaseous state due to an increase in temperature and/or pressure. Evaporation is a fundamental part of the water cycle and is constantly occurring throughout nature.
It is a surface phenomenon .
Even under sun and even under the shade there is always some heat present in atmosphere everywhere. The upper layer of water molecules one by one gets energy and evaporates. But, the only difference is that, under sun it gets more energy due to direct incident sun rays with more energy than the reflected or scattered with less energy than that under shade. As reflection and scattering cause decrease in energy as heat gets absorbed .
So, it evaporates faster under the sun.
Thanks.
