Why we are not kept acid and base in metallic container

Because then acid or base will react with that metal and form salt,water and hydrogen

Acids are very reactive as they contain reactive hydroxide ions .When reactive metals are in contact with acids they react and produce metallic salt and hydrogen gas is liberated.Hence acids are not kept in metallic container .
