Major Rabi crops are wheat, gram, peas, barley etc. It requires a lot of water and hot weather to grow. A warm climate is required for seed germination and cold climate for the growth of crops.

Explanation:

Wheat is cultivated in the winter months. It cannot be cultivated in kharif crop season because there are high and hot summers and there is more rainfall due to heat, being a rabi crop wheat doesn't need a hot wet season with continuous rainfall but needs a cold climate to be cultivated.
