Any business firm always aims at maximizing profit. An ill person can never be as productive as a healthy one. Hence, they'd never hire somebody who is sick. Also, this might cause the people around that person to fall sick.

The health of a person helps him to realise his potential and the ability to fight illness.

An unhealthy person therefore becomes a liability for an organisation due to inability or weakness to work.

If a firm would employ an unhealthy person, he would not do work as fast as others and even affect others will to work if it is a communicable disease. Henceforth, healthy people also get affected due to one or more unhealthy people around him.
