Why would it have been a bad idea to buy a color tv when they first were released

It would hv been bad because firstly the technology was not much developed than today... So there was no use of color TV as it may harm our eyes .Even today we see the CRT monitors TV they are making a bit noise which is bad.. So hence it's bad ....
