Why would someone live as an ascetic?

More than 3000 years ago, many people abided by the Vedic Hindu Code of Living: Study during the first 25 years. Form a family during the next 25 years. Live almost as an ascetic within the society during the next 25 years. Live as an ascetic outside the society during later years (and save the society from the burden of elderly people).

most of the people are lazy and do not like be har wor5king by nature,they feel for easy going and making an easy life ,by the time they realize half life is gone,they start repenting.
