Newton’s third law of motion states the relationship between the two bodies when they interact with each other. When one body exerts force on another body, second body also exerts equal and opposite force on the first body.
According to this law, when the boatmen pushes back the water by exerting the force with the help of oars, the water also exerts same amount of force on the boat but in opposite direction and pushes the boat forward.
