Wind energy is not purely convenient source of energy for three main reasons.  

Firstly, the set-up is extremely costly and when there is no wind, the energy unit will become inactive.  

Secondly, wind energy turbine is not noiseless, which is a hindrance for the environment.

Thirdly, wind energy turbine is extremely fatal for birds and avian animals, which damages ecosystem.
