If x^{21} - 20 is divided by x + 1, then what is the remainder.

By Using Remainder Factor Theorem,

x +1 = 0

So, x = -1

Putting x = -1 in the Polynomial.

( - 1) ^{21} - 20 \\ = - 1 - 20 \\ = - 21

Hence, the remainder is -21.

Hope it Helps.
