Answer:The leaves of insectivorous plants are modified to trap insects in this way-

When an insect comes and sits on the leaves of pitcher plant , it's lid gets closed and the insect gets entangled into the hair. The insect is digested by the digestive juices secreted by the pitcher plant and it's nutrients are absorbed.

A sundew plant has hairs on their leaves that are coated with a sticky liquid. This gives a scent that attracts the insects. When an insect gets stuck on one of those hairs, the hair wraps it around and covers it with digestive juices and kills the insect.

A venus flytrap has short and stiff hair on its leaves that are very sensitive. With the touch of an insect,it shuts down and immediately kills the insect.
