Wonderful puzzle... Try to solve this.... A king asks a learned man to visit his palace. The man says I will come any day next month. But give me gold in grams equal to the date on which I come. The king asks the jeweler to make rings of 1 to 31 grams. The jeweler was smart and makes only 5 rings. What was the weights of those rings?

yes, because the sum of Mass of any of these 5 rings gets you numbers from 1 to 31 ,I just done it by assumption and I am sorry I am not having an idea regarding the procedure.
