On absorbing moisture, wooden door gets swells up and it does not fit into the gap of the wooden frame. That is why it gets struck in the winter season. Mainly the absorbed moisture has water molecule which gets diffused in the space between the wooden particles and makes it to swells up.

Answer:

Humidity increases during the seasonal rain. Wood is hygroscopic, ingests moisture obtained from air within the surrounding. Therefore outcome in the extension of timber creates a wooden entryway, and the wooden edge extends during the rainy season. When extending, the opening towards the site in side get skewed.

On expansion or the wood presented to nature during the stormy season and as the downpours lashes, the water particles would enter the entryway or wood through pores and in this way the wood expands.
