When I look back nostalgically on the life road,
Wonderful things happened as on it I trod;
One such moment I will share with you all,
Putting in verse form from my old recall.
Once in the mountains I had a divine vision
A phenomenon beyond intellect and reason.
As I stood alone on a lonely peak,
In the twilight with the fading streak
Of the setting sun turning dark,
A sweet melody warbled by a solitary lark
Wafted unto my ears like a soothing balm;
Instantaneously I was filled with a serene calm.
In that peace so deep, I longed to descend,
Deeper and deeper to the farthest end
Of the world, where perhaps another world could be
Where every moment I shall experience pure glee;
Always unthwarted, always free!
In that divine world, I longed to be.
