Working of the question when 22.4 l of Hydrogen gas is mixed with 11.2 l of Chlorine each at STP The moles of HCl gas formed is?

The equation for the reaction is as follows :

H₂(g + Cl₂(g) —> 2HCl (g)

Mole ratio is :

22.4 / 11.2 = 2

We have 2 Vol of Hydrogen gas, 1 Vol of Nitrogen gas and 2 Vol of HCl gas.

HCl gas produced is thus 22.4 litres
