The survival of organisms will difficult without green plants as:-
1) They release O₂ which is needed by most of the organisms.
2) Some organisms(particularly herbivores)take food from green plants.
3) Some organisms live as parasite on green plants.
So,if there would be no green plants then survival of all these will become difficult. hence I support the statement because of these points.

Yes.. survival of organisms would be very much affected with no green plants around, which is not just because of no oxygen formation.
#Earth has enough oxygen available for human existance for a very long time, and yes finally it will exhaust after a very long time.
#As the plants have gone we would have only one food resource which are animals, but wihout plants no animals.
The greatest problem would be all the herbivorous animals with no other supplyment of food will start dying.
And yes humans will find a way through,we will start depending on various types of fungus, like mushroom, etc for food.
# Without plants the pollution level will increase to an alarming level since green plants take up CO2 and release O2 but now no one would be there to replace its function, and with acccumulation of greenhouse gases gobal warming wil occur. The temperature would increase soo much that it would be difficult for human survival.
...... No alternate remedy for this :(
#Soil erosion will take place , plants were the one that kept all the soil matter and various mineral together, without.them soil erosion is inevitable.
........ And gain no artificial remedy :(
yes it will be very difficult for survival, but not “ impossible”, humans will find a way out through the problem.
WITH PLANTS GONE ALL HERBIVOROUS WILL DIE,ALONG WITH THEIR PREDATORS (carnivores,nd omnivores), ONLY HUMANS AND SOME MICROORGANISMS WILL SURVIVE.
