- Tansen was the topmost musician of his age.
- He was one of the nine ratnas in the court of Akbar.
- Everybody who heard him singing was magical. When Tansen was in the court of Akbar, he Started to compose new Ragas or warbles grounded on classical Indian music.
- Tansen had a fellowship with the great minstrel Surdasa and used to sing his bhajans or spiritual songs. It's said that after joining the court of Akbar, Tansen came arrogant.
- He was still, defeated in a music contest by Baiju Bavaria, another fabulous Indian musician. This music contest took place in Agra. This defeat turned Tansen into a sucker of Lord Krishna.
- Besides being a great musician, Tansen was also a minstrel who composed numerous couples. Akbar, the Emperor of India was also inspired by Tansen and went to meet Surdasa, Meera, and Haridasa.
