I hope this letter finds you in great health and usual optimistic mood. You must be wondering why I have not returned your book ‘The Power of Your Subconscious Mind’. Well, friend, that book was inadvertently damaged. My dog, Chiku tore it to pieces mistaking it for a toy. I apologize for the loss. However, there is nothing to worry. I have ordered a new copy of the book. I will be couriering it to you within a week after I get the delivery from Amazon.com. The rest is fine. Parnam to uncle and aunt.

Dear Roshan
I hope this letter finds you in good health and you are enjoying your holidays.
The reason I am writing this letter is because, I wanted to inform you that the book I borrowed from you on the last day of school, got damaged and cannot be used. I had left it on my table, which is near the window in my room. During the recent heavy rain, water came in and soaked the book completely.
I am so sorry for being careless and cannot apologise enough. You being my best friend, lend me the book for me to go through during holidays and here I am apologising before you.
Roshan, but don’t worry I have already asked my father to get this book from United Book Shop and I will bring this to school after holidays.
