Alexander Graham Bell was a person of great wisdom and kindness. He understood Helen's likes and dislikes and stayed by her side in all tough situations. Bell advised Helen's parents to send her to attend speech classes at the Horace Mann School for the Deaf in Boston. And his advice had definitely given the fruit of a strong base to Helen in her career. Again it was on Dr.Bell's advice that Helen's father wrote Mr.Anagnos and found Miss Anne Sullivan, a dedicated, understanding and caring teacher, to teach Helen. One of the most memorable times of Helen's life has always been the World Fair. Helen had learnt many things in this fair, thanks to Dr.Bell. He patiently taught the working of every single exhibit and helped in developing Helen's interest towards machines and technology. This was especially in the case of him explaining the way in which diamonds are mined to Helen. Helen notes that Dr.Bell was a humorous person and a poet with an unlimited love for children, especially for the deaf. No wonder Helen has dedicated her book to Dr.Alexander Graham Bell. The dedication reads, "TO ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL; Who has taught the deaf to speak and enabled the listening ear to hear speech from the Atlantic to the Rockies, I DEDICATE This Story of My Life."

Dr. Graham

Bell was a famous American innovator. He was a remarkable person and had always

been very kind and helpful to Helen and Miss Sullivan. It was he who introduced

Mr. Anagnos to her parents, and Miss Sullivan who came to teach her at her

home. Whenever Helen was in difficulty, Dr. Bell extended a helping hand to

her.

He showed

and explained many of his experiments to Helen. Helen felt indebted to him and

acknowledged her indebtedness to him, quoting that he brought her from darkness

to light, from isolation to friendship, knowledge and love.

Helen

visited the World Fair with him; and he told her how autophones and other

inventions made communication easier in the world. He described each object in

the electrical world to her with utmost interest. Helen spent many days in his

laboratory listening to his experiments. These experiences matured Helen and

she felt that she had taken a great leap from the world of fairy tales to the

real practical world.

Besides

being caring and kind, he was humorous and poetic also. He was very fond of

children. He did a lot to improve the life of the disabled. Dr. Bell remained

as a sustaining influence in Helen’s life. In spite of being a great man of

high status, he was very modest, noble and sympathetic.

ItsMysteryGirl English Shakespeare

Alexander Graham Bell the inventor of telephone was a good friend and companion of Helen.

Not only Helen, but he helped many handicapped children and supported them with the educational facilities and other things.

He was the one who suggested Mr. Anagnos to Helen's parent which resulted in their further meeting with Anne Mansfield Sullivan.

Alexander Graham Bell always helped Helen and infact her novel was dedicated to him.

He explained his experiments to Helen and made everyone believe that he/she can be a inventor.

Hope it helps...
