It is divided into 3 parts Himadri, Himachal and Shiwaliks. The main ones are Mount Everest, K2, Annapurna, and Nanga Parbat. The word "Himalaya" means House of Snow in Sanskrit. The Himalayas form a mountain range in Asia separating the plains of the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau.
