Answer:

When a buyer went to a shop to purchase a table fan, the shopkeeper told him that he is offering 10% discount on the marked price which is Rs 1000. However the marked price was 20% more than the cost at which shopkeeper bought the fan. After further negotiation, the shopkeeper was ready to  sell the fan at  a discount of 15% of the marked price. Find overall profit/loss of the shopkeeper?

Step-by-step explanation:

Marked Price is 1000

120%of CP = Marked Price

(120/100)*CP=1000

CP=Rs 833.33

Selling Price of fan = Rs 850 (Marked Price - 15%of Marked Price)

Therefore, shopkeeper got a profit of (Rs 850 - Rs 833.33) = Rs 16.67
