Explanation:

The political scenario in India is in a very reprehensible state. Is this because of the prevailing multi-party system? Or should we resent to bi-party system.

For:

- The bi-partite system would lead to certain stability in the prevailing political system which is currently abstaining from the multi-party system

- By implementing the bi – party system, there would be a decrease in the vagueness amongst the public to take decision as to which party should be vested with power

- A multi – party system promotes complexity in making and implementing policies, which will be eradicated if the bi – party system is adopted

Against:

- The multi – party system gives some credibility as well as alternatives to the general public

- Direct democracy would bring in an aspect of healthy competition into politics

- With only 2 parties in the scene, will be an deterrent obstacle in the development of the nation

- A multi-party system gives an option of having multiple ideas to improve the nation which is completely ruled out if a bi party system exists, as it will restrict the flow and the number of ideas

- It also increases miscellany

Conclusion:

- A multi – party system will though create confusion and complexities of implementing policies for the betterment of the nation but then we should be open to ides. By implementing the bi – party system we would restrict the flow of ideas which could not go in the favour of the nation

- At the end of the day, what matters is that the parties and the leaders involved should have their focus set on the development of the country
