APJ Abdul Kalam was born into a poor Tamil muslim family in the pilgrimage town of Rameswaram , Tamil Nadu , on october 15,1931. His mother, Ashiamma, was a housewife and his father, Jainulabdeen ,was an imam of local mosque amd a boat owner.

           APJ inherited honesty and self discipline frpm his father and mother.He also inherited faith in goodness and deep kindness. He was greatly influenced by his parents, his teachers and his friends.

           Abdulkalam earned his first wges by selling newspapes  with his cousin.Abdul kalam had many challenges and hardships in his life.
