Dear Diary,
Today I want to share some thoughts about Ramu Kaka, our trusted housekeeper for many years. A man of few words but with always a smile on his lips, we have hardly seen Ramu Kaka saying no to any work. Two days earlier, my grandfather had a sudden chest pain and we all rushed to the hospital with him. Although we came back home happily as the doctor referred to the pain as normal and released him by giving medicines, returning home my grandmother was furious after she was unable to find her purse which had Rs 10,000 and a gold chain in it and to out utter surprise Ramu Kaka was also missing. We were about to call the police when suddenly we saw Ramu kaka returning home with prasads as he had offered Puja in the temple for my grandfather’s health and when asked about the purse, he gave the purse from the top of the cupboard and said he kept it there as the purse was lying on the floor. We were too shamed to let him know of our intentions and apologized in our minds.
