Sir:
I wish to state that I am student of this prestigious school studying in VIII-A. I had borrowed books no. 7689 and 9735 on May 20, 2018. The books were due to be returned on May 27, 2018. However, I fell ill and doctor advised me a week’s rest. But my parents insisted on to continue my rest beyond a week. Now I am bound to pay the fine for both the books. I apologize for not being able to return the books in time. Kindly waive me the fine. the financial condition of my parents is not so good. I shall be exceedingly thankful. I am attaching my medical certificate for your perusal.

Two weeks ago I borrowed some books from your library. I was excited to have read the book but very disappointed by mistake two pages of a very expensive book got damaged when a cup of tea fell on the book. I am hoping you will allow me to purchase a new book of the same title as compensation. As a solution, and because I really want to express my apology for the incident, I seek your permission to purchase a new book with the same title for the library. I am also hoping that you would not impose any penalty for the incident.
