Sir,

The torrential flood created havoc in Kerala. It took hundreds of lives and left thousands stucked.

The incessant flood triggered massive landslides and the river water swiped away buildings and shops.

The devastation is so widespread that the state administrations of Kerala are still struggling to come to terms with the situation.

The army and police have joined hands in trying to rescue the people who are stranded in various parts of Kerala.  

The state government should take steps to check the extensive destruction of living beings and nature.
