Sub: Selling of unhealthy food items around our school.

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily I would like to ventilate my deep concern over selling of unhealthy food items around our school.

It is very grim fact that unhealthy food items are being sold in and around our school area. Although most of the students have mid-day meal in our school, some students like to indulge themselves in some tasty food items like lozenges, jhalmuri, ice creams, and fries of various types of spices during the tiffin hour. Sellers and vendors sell unhealthy foods like fizzy drinks, doughnuts and pizza in and around school adjoining areas, withing caring their healthy habit and hygiene. They sell unhealthy food items which are cheaper and easily available. The colour and scent used in food items are very dangerous for the students and they may affect the learners seriously.

As a result the students do not want to have healthy food in their home. Some vendors sell drugs stuffed in food items. It is undoubtedly dangerous. It will destroy the future life of the students .

The school authority should take immediate steps to stop such threatening situation. The government also should take immediate measures to stop this practice considering the future of students.

Yours truly,

swastik Rai
