Respected Class Teacher,
With due respect, I wrote this letter to ask for permission for taking part in enter house speech competition competition, being held at (Campus or department name). I went to the event coordinator regarding the event and he told me that I need a permission letter from the class teacher/principle to participate in it. (Describe in your own words).
