Dear Cousin ,
I am healthy and happy here. I hope that you and my father are happy.
The independence day was celebrated at our village yesterday. Early in the morning we had our bath and sang Tagore’s songs. At 6.00 a.m. we assembled on the playground. all our villagers gave a guard of honour to the inspector of schools who came to hoist the National Flag. He gave us an inspiring speech. Sweets were distributed. In the evening we enjoyed a variety entertainment by some people . Prizes were given to the best performers.
Please convey my regards to my father and my mother.
