Dear Dear (Name),

I am sorry as I could not write to you earlier. I had gone away on a four days long trip to ___________ (Place Name) with the school tour. Every year our school arranges a tour and this year it was proposed by students themselves that they had read a lot about ___________ (Place Name) its historical monuments we should this time go and personally visit and see them. The proposal was readily accepted by the Principal. Arrangements began to be made in advance. Railway concession tickets were arranged from ____________ (Place) to ____________ (Place) station and back. There were in all 80 students — boys as well as girls, accompanied by twelve teachers — gents and lady teachers and three servants.

The packets of our lunch were consumed — this satisfied our hunger but our eyes longed to keep looking on and on at the magnificence of the huge dome and the intricate workmanship. We could feel why people all across the world come up to witness this marvel of marvels.

Evening was desending and it was getting time for us to leave. With much reluctance we did leave casting the last lingering look at the Taj.

Now was our plan to go through the famous market of Agra, the Kinari Bazar. The buses had been required to park themselves on the other end of the market.

The Kinari Bazar of Agra is also a marvel in its own way. A narrow street runs all through and on both its flanks are shops which sell from a needle to anything. Shoes are Agra’s famous product and there are wholesale markets all over — in the lanes and bye-lanes.

And then the huge mounds of ‘Petha’ and ‘Dalmoth’ — really a treat to the eye and an attraction to the tongue — on every corner and then the sizzling ‘Chat’ and the greasing Desi Ghee Halwa. Agra market is full of such delicacies.

Back to the Dharmashala by the evening, we had our dinner served by the Dharmashala Dhaba — a reasonably tasty one, which our Principal had pre-ordered for us.

Next morning, again an early breakfast of ‘Kachori’ and Jalebi and cups of tea with packed lunch packets, we headed to the Agra Fort — a huge structure built in red- stone.

The sun set in the west and darkness began to descend and so was sleep descending on us. It was to be an overnight journey which passed off well. Back to Gonda in the morning again, the bus journey from there to Balrampur and back to the school campus where our people were there to receive us.

Such an enjoyable and unforgettable experience — a lifetime experience indeed.

You were not with us, but I hope you would have enjoyed the trip through your imagination — all that I have told you about through this letter. The letter has become lengthy indeed, but how could I not tell you all and everything about it. You are a dear friend to me indeed.

My best regards to your papa and ma.

Yours loving friend,

My dear Blair,

Hope you are back home after your trip. I remembered that you had told me last month that you would be going on a one-day school trip to Wonderla Amusement Park, and I wanted to know how it went.

I have been to Wonderla a few years back, and I am sure a lot has changed since then. I loved the water pendulum, the roller coaster and the wave pool. I hope you got a chance to go on these and many other rides too. I can’t wait to hear all about the fun you had.

Waiting to hear from you.

Your dearest friend,

Serena

Dear Rayina,

How are you? Hope all is well at home. I am back home from my school trip, and the first thing I wanted to do was to tell you all about my trip. I wish I could meet you in person, but it is not possible for me to travel due to covid restrictions, and so I thought I could write to you instead of waiting to meet you.

It was a completely different experience, something that I did not expect. We reached Hyderabad on Monday morning and checked into the hotel. The place of stay was really great and the climate was generally moist and cold. We visited the Charminar and the Golconda Fort on the first day. We then went to the Lumbini Park. It is definitely a great place for relaxation. The giant clock designed with a variety of flowers was quite an attraction. The musical fountain is something no one visiting Hyderabad should miss. We went shopping at the Laad Bazaar. The moment I entered the bazaar, I was thinking of you. It has everything both of us love. We should definitely plan out and make a visit to this place. The last day was fun-filled as we went around Ramoji Film City and Snow World. We enjoyed every moment there. However, two of my friends fell into the snow and were hurt badly. One of them was taken to the hospital as she fell ill.

It was definitely a trip to remember, but I would love to go on a tour with you – just you and me. Let us start making plans and make it happen as soon as covid restrictions are lifted.

Hoping to meet you soon. I love you.

Love,

Saira
