Loving Mother,
It has been a long time since I've written a letter or come home to you sadly. I hope you are well and everyone at home. My studies are going great and the teacher's are very kind at the Hostel
This year, the exams are getting pretty tough and it requires more practice for me to get good scores. So me and my friends decided to attend extra classes during the first week of holidays. Due to this, I wont be able to come home for this Holidays for the first week. I hope you are not mad at this desicion as it is for the good of all of us. I'm sure I'll enjoy team studying and it will help me revise more. After all it's the first week, Im coming home after that.
Hope everyone had an awesome 2018. Wishing everyone at a home a Happy New Year! I hope <name of sibling> is having fun and grandparents are well.
