Today I am writing this letter to relate to you a very happy experience of the day. I hope you would be very glad to know that my scouting in school has helped me to save the life of a child today.
It so happened that in the morning today I, along with six boys of my hostel, went to take a bath in the river. We saw their men, women and children taking their bath near the banks. A woman was giving her four-year-old son a bath at a little distance from the main Ghats. The child suddenly slipped from her hand and was carried away by the current. The woman started screaming but in the noise her cries were not audible.
The cries suddenly fell on my ear and at once I understood the reason from her raised hands pointing towards the drowning child. It was too much for me and at once I jumped into the river without bothering to take off my clothes.
There was not much water in the river and the current was also not swift. It was, however, too much for a little child who was being carried away slowly and slowly by the current.

Dear Mom,
Hope you are fit and fine. I am also good here by God's grace and your blessings. I am writing you this letter to share with you an incident that happened today. You will be glad to hear it that I have saved a child's life today.
I was going to a supermarket nearby with my friends to bring some snacks and some necessary items. While we were walking I saw a small boy playing with a ball. His mother was in a shop buying some things.
While he was playing with the ball, the ball hit a electric pole and fell in the middle of the road. The small boy without noticing the cars coming from both sides ran to bring the ball back. Her mother didn't notice his child as she was busy in shopping.
Then, I saw a car moving towards the boy in very high speed. Her mother noticed the child as people were screaming there. I quickly ran and pushes the small boy to the other side so that the car doesn't hit him.
The small boy fell to the other side and had minor injuries. But at least he was saved from the accident that was likely to occur if I hadn't pushed him to the other side.
His mother cried and hugged her child. She thanked me and was also sorry for her carelessness.
