Subject: Deplorable roads in Nagaland in need of urgent repair.
Respected Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper, I would like to highlight the deplorable road conditions of Nagaland.
The roads of this North Eastern state of India are full of pot holes due to complete lack of repair and maintenance for several years. In many places even the black toppings are no longer visible. There are several state road highways which appear as if no road ever existed because they are completely damaged and unpliable. The people are suffering untold hardships because of the bad and dangerous condition of the roads.
Therefore, I earnestly request both the Central and State government departments and the higher authorities to take up the matter on top priority and repair all the roads urgently. The general public will be looking forward expectantly for works to commence at the earliest.
