1.  Godan means Gift of Cow and it was written by famous writer, Premchand
2.  It was considered as one of his most prominent works which was published in the year 1936
3.  It was regarded as moving epic of Indian peasantry because it tells the heart touching story of the lives of peasant couple Hori and his wife Dhania
4.  They were suppressed, and cheated by landlords, moneylenders, priests, colonialists and almost by powerful icons in the society who grab their lands and render them landless labourers
5.  The story revolves around the struggles faced by this couple in order to retain their reputation and dignity...

Hope it helped you out (^^)^_^(^^)
Thanks and it comes in 5 marks (^^)
