SOLUTION:

Biotic and abiotic components are physically organised to provide a characteristic structure of the ecosystem. Ecosystem is a self contained unit of plants, animals and decomposers and their nonliving environment like soil , air and water.
Important structural features of the ecosystem are species composition and stratification.

Some ecosystems for example Tropical rainforest shows tall plant canopy and a bewildering  number of biological species. On the other hand a desert ecosystem shows a low ,  discontinuous herb layer  consisting of fewer species and extensive bare patches of soil.
