All India Trade union Congress is a branch of Indian Congress which was established in 1947 under the leadership of Acharya kriplani. This was later came under the guidance of Mahatma Gandhi when Jawaharlal Nehru was the prime minister of india.

The main aim of the AITUC was to unite the labourers under one umbrella, so as to strengthen the labours movement.

It was also founded to make India a part of the League of Nation's labour organisation.
