Spit, also known as saliva.

Saliva is a clear liquid that is produced in the human mouth during day and night, 24 hours a day, every day.

It contains most of the water, with a few other organic chemicals.

The slippery stuff is produced by the salivary generated by human glands.

Human saliva contains about 99.5% water, but also many important substances are included.

This comprises of :

1)electrolytes,

2)mucus,

3)antibacterial compounds and

4) various enzymes.
