Life:

The real name of Bismillah Khan was Qamruddin Khan. He was born on 21st of March 1916. He was from Dumraon. He was the best known Shehnai Vaadak(player) of India.

Lifestyle:

He used to spend his maximum time in the practice of Shehnai. He was very much dedicated to his work. After being so much famous he never gain ego. He believes in the simplicity of life. He never work for luxuries. He may visited to many places but he is very much connected to his motherland and Benaras. He believes on God not on religion, he also spend his talent in Mandirs. He only want to learn, it doesn't matter from where the knowledge is coming. His early life motivations are his uncle, Nana and two sisters in his neighbourhood. He is very much devoted to God. He spend his Namaaz(Islamic prayer to God)  asking god to give the best sur.

Achievements:

He was blessed with this very big talent. This was the biggest achievement for him. But he also earns Bharat Ratna in 2001. In 1980 he was awarded with Padma Vibhushan. In 1956, he was awarded with Sangeet Natak Academy Award. In 1968, Padma Bhushan. In 1961, Padma Sri. But the biggest achievement of his life was when he was invited to play his Shehnai on the India's first Independence Day. It was the biggest honour for him also.
