Traffic constables don the greasepaint

KOLLAM: Students of the Government Boys High School here saw traffic constables in a different role at their school campus on Tuesday. The constables arrived there to act in a drama, ‘Sookshikkuka, Jeevan Vilapettathanu,’ aimed at spreading awareness on traffic rules. The whole thrust of the drama was that accidents could be avoided if traffic rules are adhered to.

The message of the play is ‘save your life and the lives of others by following traffic rules.’ The entire school student body arrived at the school ground to witness the 40 minute play which was inaugurated by the Mayor, N.Padmalochanan. The background music for the play was also provided by the constables.

The drama starts with the birth of a boy. Traffic accidents at various stages of his life are presented.
