Free Health Check-up camp
The St. Martin's Convent School, Kolkata organised a free health check-up camp on 12th June 2020 for the victims of amphan cyclone in West Bengal. The camp was organised in two separate locations, Madhyamgram and Sunderban. This event was in association with the Tata Health Centre.
The students of classes 8 to 10 participated in this. They were divided into two groups and were sent to the locations respectively. According to the news reports, more than half of the population was impacted which lead to the loss of life and property. This health check-up was conducted to ensure that the people who survived the cyclone did not suffer from any grave injuries. They were administered first aid by the doctors from the Health Centre who had accompanied the students.
The drive was a great success since more than 200 people were treated by the doctors and students. They also managed to help people with certain donations and contribution from the other students of the school.
