Government Higher Sec.School ,Chennai, organized the " District swimming tournament" on 15th Nov. The tournament was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports in children. Approximately 1,000 students participated in the tournament. The District collector was the chief Guest of the tournament. Many new school level records were made in 50 metres, 100 metres, and 200 metres swimming.The merit and participation certificates were given away by the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour.

Finally the programme ended with the National Anthem.

It was a grand success.
