IVF (in vitro fertilization) In some women, fallopian tubes are blocked to some reasons. These women are unable to bear babies because sperms can't reach ovum for fertilization. In these cases, doctors fuses sperms and ovum externally and formed zygote. Then, they join it to uterus of women. This is known as IVF. Babies born through this technique are called test tube babies.

In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a process of fertilization where an egg is combined with sperm outside the body,in vitro ("in glass"). The process involves monitoring and stimulating a woman's ovulatory process, removing an ovum or ova (egg or eggs) from the woman's ovaries and letting sperm fertilise them in a liquid in a laboratory. the zygote formed which further develops into a child is said to be a test tube baby.
