Answer:
Munshi Premchand is known for his contribution to Hindi and Urdu literature with his stories and novels. He was born in a village named Lamhi near Varanasi. His actual name is Dhanpat Rai Srivastav but he is known as Premchandji. He is called the "Father of Hindi Fiction". Premchand is an extremely famous name in every household. His writings were simple and relatable to the mass. Everyone could relate to the stories he wrote. He was a writer of the unindependent Bharat. Like the other authors in that era, he also wrote fearlessly about the socio-economy issues the Indians were facing and portrayed the real picture of the British. He was barely 20 years when his first story "Sanskar ka Sabse Anmol Ratan" was published. His other story, "Soz-i-Waten" was banned by the British as they felt it can threaten the empire. He wrote over 250 stories in his lifetime. Some of his famous works include "Prem Pachisi", "Nirmala", "Rangbhumi" etc. His last work was "Cricket Match" which was sadly published after a year of his death.
