Stars make their own light, just like our sun (the sun is a star — the closest star to Earth). But the stars are very, very far away from our solar system so they appear to be very tiny to us, even though up close they are large. The planets are much closer, inside our solar system.

STARS :
★ They are having lustres .
★ They are uncountable .
★ They are made up of dust and gases.
★ They twinkle at night .
★ Example - The Sun is the nearest star to the earth .

PLANETS :
★ They are not lustrous.
★ There are 8 planets in our Solar System .
★ Some of them are made up of gases and some of rocks .
★ They do not twinkle at night.
★ These plantes are : Mercury, Venus , Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn , Uranus and Neptune .
