Mastering basic grammar concepts such as nouns, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, verbs, conjunctions, prepositions, clauses, active-passive, direct-indirect speech, pronouns, articles, etc. will give the learner confidence and knowledge to grasp the advanced skills such as writing and speaking correctly and clearly. Hence, grammar should be taught and learnt in all earnestness with remedial teaching and learning.
