I saw a small boy standing in the woods and crying. His dear tree had been felled. He was inconsolable. For that little boy it was not just a tree. It was like a friend he would rush to everyday after school, a friend who would hide him from those nasty bullies, a friend who always had sweet fruits for him, and a friend who would wrap him in a warm embrace and put him to sleep. “This is murder”, he screamed as I tried to console him. He said he would avenge the murder, he kept saying he would.
I had then laughed at his innocence and dismissed it as a childish whim. But today thirty years later as I sit in the audience and listen to the same little boy, now all grown up speak about conservation of environment I know he still remembers his tree, his friend. As the audience broke into a thunderous applause after his speech, I felt he had now avenged his dear friend.

Hope it will help✌
Dont forget to mark me brainiest.

I saw a small boy standing in the woods and crying

It was past midnight. My consiousness made me stop my car. I hopped out and as soon as the little boy saw me approaching, his eyes depicted fear. He stepped back, hessitantly .

"Don't be afraid. I can help you buddy. What are you doing here in the middle of night?"

Maybe it was his dire state or frantic search for help or the warmth of my voice, whatever it was,  it made him come closer and he started crying uncontrollably.

I lightly held him till he felt comforted.

Summarising from what I could hear between his stifled sibs, he worked at a tea stall in the nearby town. That very day the owner had sent him with some elder men for work. His inexperience and greed (or was it need?) of money made him go.

He ended up near a hut where there were some more children all tied up. There were two men. He did not know why they were here but danger was crystal clear. Before he could be tied like the rest , he ran for the hills. The men were offgaurd, soon ran behind him.

He was chased, but he outran them and ended up here.

I knew this was a part of the child trafficking and was actually fortunate  to have met the poor child as I had an opportunity to save the others as well. I quickly called a known friend who worked for NGO.

I asked the child about the wherabouts of the hut. After some persuassion, he agreed to show us the way, albeit unwillingly.

All the children were rescued.  Three people were caught and the small boy was safely kept under foster care. That day I got a new younger brother!
