The Desert between the Forests

A long time ago, there was a very vast desert, it was almost impossible to cross it. Only giant animals and powerful birds could cross it. Among the walking animals, there was only one animal that had the courage to cross that desert.

Mangal was a huge forest on the east side of the desert and on the west side, there was a huge forest named Chandan forest. Both the forests were very vast and green. But because of the desert, they could never meet each other.

An old crow lived in the Mangal forest. He's very intelligent. His name was Chatursen. All the animals of the forest respected him very much and used to come to him for advice. The crow also happily offered his suggestion to him. Similarly, his life was passing very comfortably.

One day Chatursen was resting on a tree branch. Then an eagle came flying and sat on a nearby branch. That eagle came from the sandalwood forest. He asked the crow, "Are you Chatursen?" The crow said, "Yes, I am Chatursen. Tell me what's the matter?" The eagle said, "I have come here from the sandalwood forest." The crow said in surprise, "From so far away, there must be some special reason." The eagle said, “Your friend deer has called you. He is in trouble and wants your help. I am his very special friend so I had to come to you to help him.” The crow said, "Okay, that's it. You go and give a message to the deer that he should not be upset, I will come to meet him tomorrow only. Soon his problem will be solved." The eagle said, "Okay. But will you be able to cross the desert?" If there is any problem, I will go with you."

The crow said, "No no, there is no need for that. I have crossed the desert hundreds of times and visited my friend the deer. You don't care about me You just go and give this message to my friend. The eagle said, "Okay." Saying this the eagle left from there.

During his youth, Chatursen used to cross the desert to visit his friend Deer. But now Chatursen was old so for the last many years he could not go to meet his friend Deer. But still, he got ready in the morning the next day and left for the sandalwood forest. For some time he kept flying comfortably, but as the sun rose higher in the sky, Chatursen got worse because of the heat. In the scorching heat, his wings started scorching and he started getting tired. He also started getting worse with thirst. There was no tree in the desert, where he could rest for some time, and there was no trace of water even far and wide. Chatursen felt that he would fall down after being scorched by the heat and suffering from thirst.

Then he saw a herd of camels in the desert below. Seeing them, he saw some ray of hope. He got down and sat on the back of a camel and said, "Brother, I have come from Mangal forest and I have to go to sandalwood forest. But I am in bad condition due to heat and thirst. Can you help me with something?"

The camel was very kind. He said, "Friend, don't you worry. We are going that way. You also go with us. There you will find both some shade and water. After drinking water and taking some rest, you can go towards the sandalwood forest.” The crow was very happy to hear this. While sitting with the camel, he went very far with them. Seeing the greenery and water, his happiness knew no bounds. He ate his full stomach and took some rest in the shade of the tree.

Now he had got enough strength to go to the sandalwood forest. The crow thanked the flock of camels and flew towards the sandalwood forest. In his mind, he was very happy that he had got new friends like camels, as well as where he had got water in the desert, which made his journey to the desert easier. He decided in his mind that he would also tell other animals about the place and help them. Taking this happiness, he went flying towards the sandalwood forest.
