It was a decade ago when we were getting transferred from Mumbai to Delhi.......

It was my last day in school..I would miss my teachers, my friends and the fun we all had had together...That would be a time to cherish forever...i would have forever kept the image of my school in my heart..As i said earlier, it was my last day in my school. I had shed many a tears sitting in my school, surrounded by my friends, who, as usual, used to keep hovering around me like bees! (Yes! that is true!!!) Just on the morning I had a row with my dad over this matter of moving on to the "Most Polluted City in India i.e. Delhi" I was very upset, but all my complaints and groans were all in vain. My dad said that he was doing all this for me. He consoled me by saying that"whatever happens, happens for good"....As the school was about to get over, Ramesh came up to me with a beautiful card with the words"Miss you " carved on them. Till then, i had always thought him to be my best friend. We hugged each other and as the bell rang to announce that the school had commenced, I took my bag and ran away from the place I'd never ever return back to. ...We went to Delhi and I was still not talking to my dad.. Just a week later, was Friendship Day...I had been quite moody and ill-mannered with my friends...but the thought of making new friends still cheered me up. On friendship day, i saw that everyone in my new school were tying up friendship bands on each others hands...The day few away in a jiffy, yet no one came up to me though they smiled at me in their best way..I'd just roll my eyes away from them and would cry, but cry I didnt, for, I wasnt a namby- pamby...when Dad came back home from work ,he asked me how many friendship bands i had got...It was then that I burst up in front of him..He looked at me with a smile and tied a friendship band on my hands..i mumbled to speak, half-startled...But words wouldnt come out of my mouth..I hugged him and went back to sleep. The next day was dad's birthday, yet i went to school without wishing him...When i returned home, I was shocked to see my mother wailing ...Soon, i came to know that Dad had passed away in a car accident..I was shell-shocked and I cried a lot...But the bereaved cant be brought back to life, can they??
10 yrs have passes...Now i have really realised the importance of having a FRIEND like him....MY DAD USED TO WEAR TORN SHOES SO THAT I COULD WALK MY WAY TO SUCCESS.....TODAY I AM A SUCCESFUL ENGINEER>>BUT ITS ALL BECAUSE OF DAD"S INSPIRATIONAL WORDS THAT I TOOK THE COURAGE TO FULFIL MY DREAM..I LOVE HIM AND MISS HIM TOO!
