Its a very tricky thing about Slakes of rice as slake is nothing related to rice . It us stalks of rice. But I think you need different steps which are involved after harvesting rice crop so here they are-----
1.As soon as after harvesting of crop is done paddy stalks are gathered and are dried for some time their which is than followed by threshing .
2.This is usually done by beating the sheaves against the bars which helps us to separate the grains from stalks.
3.To remove the unwanted particles from paddy grains is done by winnowing. Not a hard process but is done by pouring the paddy down from a height mainly on a windy day through which when the grains fall on the mat the lighter chaff blows away.
4.And the last part is the removal of yellowish husks from paddy so that rice is obtained and to obtain white polished rice it made to pass between varying sets of rollers till it is polished. This process is called milling .
Now the rice is fully ready for sale and to be eaten.
